A similar colour, but a major upgrade! For this project, we removed the worn, original white vinyl siding and replaced it with 8.25” Arctic White Hardie Plank and Trim. There are of course other beautiful upgrades selected by the homeowner that made this transformation so gorgeous, but we’ll talk about the horizontal siding first.

The original dutchlap vinyl siding was 4” wide, so the 7” reveal of the new Hardie Planks creates a stark contrast despite a similar colour. With Hardie’s deep woodgrains and more natural aesthetic, the white siding is an exciting and vibrant finish. At corners and windows we installed a matching 3.5” Arctic White trim, adding extra depth to the design.

The bay window includes wider Hardie Trims at the corners, and Hardie Panel with a trim border detail surrounding the Panel. Doing these details in Arctic White to match the horizontal siding allowed the design to speak for itself. Subtle, but gorgeous.
The original design matched the horizontal siding everywhere else on the house, while utilizing panel and wider trims here helped make this bay window a standout feature on the home.

The homeowners also chose several upgrades outside of the ones we installed that helped make this such a beautiful transformation. We didn’t have a part in installing these, but we certainly wanted to point them out!

The new garage door has some beautiful detailing on it, and windows to help bring some natural light into the garage. The windows and doors were also replaced - black really shines next to the white siding, giving that modern farmhouse vibe that is simultaneously classic and trendy.

And of course, the new stone work around the garage and front door/bay window are a standout feature - helping to make the home look brand new.

All of the upgrades on this home - siding, garage door, windows, and the new stone work are high value for the homeowners, something they’ll be able to enjoy for years. But they are also high ROI renovations - each item routinely scoring very well in remodelling magazines for what percentage of the investment you would get back if you sold the home.
