Energy Efficient & Stunning Hardie Renovation
A beautiful combination of Hardie products and colours on this stunning bungalow renovation! Cobblestone Hardie Plank was selected as the main siding, and it pairs wonderfully Hardie Board and Batten accents in Mountain Sage and Heathered Moss.
Prior to installing the siding, the homeowners had the windows replaced and built out to accommodate the depth of the exterior insulation, strapping, and siding, we would be installing over the original stucco.
We installed a continuous layer of Enerspan insulation at 1.625”, providing R7.6 thermal value to the home. Due to both the thickness of the insulation and the stucco, we had to install the Hardie over wood strapping - so after the insulation was installed we fastened pressure treated wood boards through the insulation and into the existing framing with structural screws.
