Hardie Board Aged Pewter Siding Renovation

South Edmonton Home gets new Hardie Board

Here’s a full exterior renovation that checks every box! First, we removed the existing siding, soffits, and bricks. Then we installed a complete Tyvek exterior envelope complete with peel & stick membranes to seal the openings against moisture and air leakage.

Our clients selected Aged Pewter HardiePlank lap siding and corner posts with Arctic White HardieTrim boards at openings. Aged Pewter is a wonderful colour - dark enough to stand out in an older neighbourhood, where the original siding colours and stucco shift between white, beige, light brown, and…that’s about it. But not so dark that it stands out more than you would want it to.

Arctic White trims give the windows some added depth and character without calling too much attention away from the other updates.

The homeowners also opted to replace the original brick columns bordering the overhead garage door with Versetta Ledgestone panels in Mission Point. The new stone better matches the updated siding colour, and contributes to the modern look of the exterior.

Bright new soffit, fascia, and eavestrough in white complete the look. While we were replacing the soffits, the clients added new 6” pot lights, and wiring for security cameras as well.

Finally, check out that beautiful post! When we first completed the project, we installed Aged Pewter HardieTrim to clad the wooden post. The clients weren’t thrilled with the way it looked though, so we came up with a different solution. We removed the HardieTrim, and installed custom painted LP Smart Panel, with small corner caps. We finished it off with a Smart Trim collar at the top of the post for a bit of definition and character.
