Hardie & Vinyl Siding Renovation

The 90s were an interesting time for Edmonton area exteriors. Visually, we started to play with more interesting features and buildouts (note the many different wall build outs on this home), but at the same time our siding selections became very narrow. Vinyl siding was just beginning to take hold as the dominant product in our market (as it is today), but without many of the options and features it has now.

So while this was a beautiful home before we even got the pleasure of working on it, adding new features and premium products really took it to the next level. The majority of the home is done in Hardie Plank in Rich Espresso, with matching Rich Espresso trims. The matching trims on the corners give the home a contemporary feel (as opposed to a more traditional contrasting corner), which pairs perfectly with the new black soffit/fascia/eavestrough we installed.

The board and batten feature on the front of the home is done in Royal vinyl in Urban Bronze - a near perfect match to Hardie’s Rich Espresso and a fun change to the original design. On the sidewalls you’ll see some of the less visible walls (from the front/back) are done in a horizontal Urban Bronze as well. This helps keep some of the cost down on what is a lot of wall square footage, and looks fantastic while keeping with the low maintenance exterior.
