Soffit, Fascia, and Eavestrough Installation in Edmonton
While not always explicitly required to replace as part of a siding renovation, many of our clients choose to have their existing soffit, fascia, and eavestrough replaced as part of their project.
Pairing the two projects together can result in a cost savings. Generally speaking, it will cost less for one company to set up on the house and take care of both scopes while they’re at the top of the wall than it would for two different companies to set up and take care of them separately, or for the same to do the project at two separate times. However, it is not always required - in fact, it usually is not.
Most siding can be removed without damaging the existing siding. Even in circumstances where your existing soffit is resting on the existing siding, the old siding can typically be cut along the soffit line to spare the existing soffits if needed. Where this doesn’t work is when the existing walls have stucco on them. In this circumstance, if the soffits are resting on the stucco, there is no way to cleanly remove the stucco without damaging the soffits.
While we can effectively go over top of the stucco in most circumstances, mitigating the need to damage the soffits, if you’d like to have them replaced we’re happy to help!
Our siding installers will remove the existing soffit, fascia, and eaves as they replace the siding, installing new aluminum soffit and fascia as they go. And then our eavestrough installer will come in once they’re finished and install continuous eavestrough with downspouts as needed.
