Vinyl Siding Front Facade Renovation

New vinyl siding in a combination of colours and styles create a dynamic and exciting front facade on this Edmonton bungalow.

Generally speaking, there are two ways to create an accent on an exterior design: colour or texture. For this project, the clients chose a unique design and colour palette that takes advantage of both!

Colour: It may seem like accent colour is a simple concept, but there is a bit more to it than just throwing different colours on gables and calling it an accent. For this project, the clients paid careful attention to the full colour range of Royal Building Products’ vinyl siding lines, and selected Estate Gray (from the standard colours) and Storm (from the upgraded colour group). The lighter gray (Estate) and darker one (Storm) work perfectly together.

Texture: For texture contrast, the clients chose both vertical Board and Batten and horizontal siding. Vinyl Board and Batten installs the same way as normal horizontal vinyl. Each piece clicks in to its neighbour before the fasteners are applied. The only difference is that the pieces run top to bottom instead of side to side!

The varied look of vertical and horizontal siding elements, combined with the colour contrast is what makes this project so vibrant. In fact, the clients loved the new look of their home so much, that they immediately hired us to do the same for the garage!
